Audio Atrocities™ : Michigan:Report from Hell · Spike / 505 · Playstation 2 · 2005
Another day, another poorly voiced survival horror game. It's guilty-pleasure so bad-it's-good fun for some, but there's really nothing special at all about this stab at the genre. Poor audio work and frustrating gameplay were probably the major reasons it was never released in North America, leaving the "English" version as a European exclusive with budget-barrel publisher 505 Games.

There's some typically hilarious Engrish scattered amongst these clips as well. Non-native speakers were obviously used for many of the parts, with predictable results.

Exhibit A: Are you listening Becky? Don't give up...
Initially it sounds like this character is talking to some kind of dimwitted associate, but then we realize that she's not talking that way for the other party's benefit. The singsong ending to this clip confirms our fears - the "acting" simply sucks.

Exhibit B: ...in an attempt to evacwate Chicago...
Obviously this reporter felt the urgency of the information trumped the need to get the words right, and the director here apparently agreed.

Exhibit C: Ann...ANN...ANNNNNN...OH MY GAWD!
This one is a little unfair because I put together all the death reactions from this actor into one file. The progression of over-the-top grief is hard to resist.
